


Jo Savage worked in social care with children and families for over 30 years.
She began working in residential care with children and young people initially as a qualified nursery nurse. Subsequently Jo worked with adolescents in a residential unit where she was seconded to the Diploma in Social Work course. On return to the residential unit Jo became a Team Leader and continued her studies to achieve a BA (HONS) in Social Work in 1994.
Jo went on to join a child protection team where she remained until she came into the Fostering Service with Seafields. Jo was originally recruited to develop a Fostering Service in Sussex in 2001 and was Area Manager for this area until taking up the post of Service Manager In February 2004. Prior to this post Jo achieved an NVQ Level 5 in Operational Management.
Jo is the Responsible Individual for the fostering service and Safeguarding Manager for children and young people.
Jo is responsible for all social work practice throughout the company. Jo is based in Hornchurch but regularly visits our Sussex and Suffolk offices.
