Gary is the Registered Manager for Seafields Fostering Ltd, based in our Hornchurch office in Essex. He has been with Seafields since 2001, where he began as a Supervising Social Worker before then becoming a Senior Practitioner and finally the Registered Manager. Gary manages a team of four Social Workers, two Child and Family Support Workers as well as two Student Social Workers. The Student Social Workers are existing Child and Family Support Workers that Seafields have seconded to the social work degree. Gary also manages the referrals team at Hornchurch where referrals for children and initial enquiries from prospective Foster Carers are processed. Gary is also a qualified Practice Teacher and has supervised students whilst at Seafields.

Prior to working for Seafields Gary was a Social Worker in Essex, where he was a social worker in the placements team, before undertaking the role of Supervising Social Worker in their Maldon office. Gary has also had experience as a Foster Carer where he and his family fostered for Essex for some 9 years. Gary states that his fostering experiences have been invaluable to him as a Social Worker and that he often revisits this experience when dealing with difficult situations that arise for Seafields Foster Carers.
