Karen joined Seafields Fostering in 1999 after working with Steve Kobuszko (Director) for a year in the Children & Families Team for the London Borough of Havering. Karen provided administration support to the whole team including management gaining an understanding of the Fostering task.

Since joining Seafields Karen has helped the Directors to develop the Service by ensuring that the important Social Work task has been supported by sound, practical and efficient administration systems as well as meeting legislative requirements (now monitored by Ofsted).

Karen began as a PA to Beverley Collins (Director) and over the past ten years through training opportunities and experience has become the Head of Business Services and Human Resource Manager. This role is to assist the Company to continue to move forward within the business environment whilst ensuring that the full remit of Human Resource is compliant with Employment Law and as well as supporting the wellbeing of the Company’s best asset – its employees.

Qualifications achieved include: NVQ 4 in Business Management; NVQ 5 in Operations Management and the status of Specialist Paralegal in Employment (England).
