About Us
- We will offer you support from a qualified Social Worker 24/7 365 days of the year from day one of joining us;
- You will be allocated a qualified Supervising Social Worker who will meet with you on a regular basis to support you in your role;
- You will be provided with copies of records of those meetings;
- Seafields have a team of Child & Family Support Workers who can support you in those times of need;
- You will be supported by Seafields at relevant professional and review meetings;
- Monthly Support Groups are run once a month enabling you to develop your skills in fostering as well as providing the opportunity to meet with other carers in your locality;
- Relevant training courses are provided to enable you to learn new skills in the task of fostering;
- Your allowance is per child per night and will bepaid every two weeks;
- We offer a reward bonus for those who achieve the required training levels and service to Seafields;
- You will be helped in achieving the Children's Workforce Development Councils' Care Award (CWDC Standards) as part of your career as a Foster Carer;
- Your own children will be offered the opportunity to meet other children who foster or offered support in the role that they play in being part of a foster family;
- We offer the opportunity for all Carers, children who foster and children in care to enjoy regular activities and fun days;
- We undertake a yearly appraisal of how you and your family are finding fostering and will discuss with you any changes that you feel that need to made.
